Meet the SLPs
Teresa L. Ahrens, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist/Owner
I received an Associate of Arts degree from Bethany Lutheran College in 1988. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1990 and went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology in 1994, both, from the University of Iowa. I worked as a Speech Therapist in South Carolina until moving to Wisconsin in 1998. Since 2000, I have provided private therapy to children in private schools, in their homes and in our Cedarburg clinic. I often have graduate clinicians working with me to complete their training to become SLPs. I take the role of mentor very seriously and enjoy sharing my experience with the next generation of therapists.

Deanna Ritter, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2000 with a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. Throughout most of my career, I have worked with preschool-age children, but have also had the opportunity to work with elementary, middle, and high school students. I have worked with students in a variety of school, home, and online settings in eastern Pennsylvania. While working with school-age students, I enjoy incorporating their class curriculum into therapy sessions to increase engagement in activities and improve carryover of new skills. I am excited to continue my career in southeastern Wisconsin.
Katie Bina, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
I received my Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011 and 2013, respectively. I have spent all nine years of my career in the school setting working with children as young as three and as old as eigth grade with identified needs in speech (articulation and phonology), language (receptive, expressive, and social), voice, and fluency. I enjoy collaborating with teachers and families, incorporating aspects of the curriculum into intervention, and observing student growth through intervention.
Julia Scopp, M.S., CFY-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2020 and went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Marquette University in 2022. I have worked with children from ages three to fourteen in the areas of articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, social communication, augmentative and alternative communication, and fluency. I enjoy building rapport with students and their families, collaborating with other professionals, incorporating topics of interest in intervention, and seeing each student’s growth over time.
